zkSync testnet 2.0 would be undergoing regenesis on August 30, 2022 to introduce Dynamic Fees release. Please read the following key messages and action items to understand what does zkSync regenesis mean for Tevaera testnet.
What?
zkSync Regenesis will reset transaction history, token balances, and require Tevaera to redeploy contracts. This only applies to zkSync 2.0 testnet and will not affect zkSync 1.0.
This means all Citizen ID, Karma scores and leaderboard will get reset in https://testnet.tevaera.com/
Please note that the regenesis will have no impact on Tevaera mainnet.
Action Items
1. We will take a Karma points snapshot on Aug 30th before the regenesis for your wallet address as the unique identifier and publish the list on discord and twitter. Please note that this is not a game KP snapshot. The max Karma you can collect from Teva Quest in testnet is 1000 KP that you can see on the main page.
2. We will distribute these snapshot Karma points to the users in 2.0 mainnet when we go live. The distribution will be combined with the 1.0 Karma points for our current mainnet + testnet users. Make sure you are using the same wallet.
3. To get the Karma points as a testnet only user you will have to a.) mint the citizen ID after regenesis on testnet (playing game is optional) and b) use the same wallet to mint the citizen ID in mainnet, when we go live. Again, if you have a citizen ID from 1.0 mainnet then you don’t need to mint it in 2.0 mainnet, we will airdrop it.
4. We will share karma rewards to our top 10 leaderboard before Aug 30th regenesis. The leaderboard will be reset after that for a fresh start.
TL;DR — start fresh after regenesis, remember to mint the Citizen ID again in testnet and play the community engagement game (optional)
Also, just want to share this message again with our new users that Teva Quest is a community engagement game only. The game was created by web2 game developers (Deplw & BPG) and our devs optimized it for webgl and web 3 integration with some art changes to test our go to market strategies.
We have had great success with this but it’s almost time now to get you warmed up and excited for our first official title that is a multiplayer game being built from scratch by our team. We will be introducing the Tevaverse concepts with this game along with our guardian characters. The Tevaverse journey will begin soon and will be super exciting : )
